LAS AMAZONAS SON REALES / AMAZONS ARE REAL
No hay nada peor que amar a la Mujer Maravilla y a sus Amazonas y desconocer totalmente a las mujeres que en nuestra Historia han existido que fácilmente podrían llamarse "Amazonas".
Uno siempre debe preguntarse las cosas y descubrir la verdad de ellas. ¿Las Amazonas en verdad existieron? ¿Realmente es verdad que se cortaban un pecho para poder usar el arco mejor? ¿Si tenían hijos, mataban a los varones? Todas esas cosas y más uno tiene que preguntarse y estudiar. Uno realmente tiene que educarse para saber distinguir las diferencias entre las Mujeres del Mito y las Mujeres de la Historia.
Las Amazonas sí existieron. Ellas fueron fuertes mujeres que eran llamadas en algunos pueblos iguales a los hombres. Ellas usaron las armas y fueron a la guerra. Ellas cuidaban de sus hijas y las crecían a su imagen y deseaban lo mejor para ellas. Las Amazonas de la Historia han vivido en muchas regiones del mundo. No en una sola. No en un sólo lugar.
Hoy celebramos a esas mujeres y celebramos a las mujeres fuertes de hoy. Celebramos a las abuelas, las madres, a las tías, a las primas, a las sobrinas, a las hermanas y a las hijas y nietas. Y les recordamos desde nuestro corazón hasta el suyo, USTEDES PUEDEN SER LO QUE QUIERAN SER.
¡Ustedes pueden ser la Mujer Maravilla! Ustedes son la Mujer Maravilla.

There's nothing worse than loving Wonder Woman and her Amazons and to be completely ignorant of those women in History that can be easily called "Amazons."
One must always question things and discover the truth in all of them. Did Amazons truly existed? Did they really cut off their breast to use the bow better? If they indeed had children, did they kill the male and keep the female? All those things and more one must ask oneself and study. One really has to educate oneself to know how to distinguish the differences between women of myth and women of History.
Amazons did exist. They were strong women that for some peoples they were equal to men. They indeed carried weapons and went to war. They took care of their daughters and raised them to their image and wished them the very best. Amazons of History have lived in many regions of the world. Not only one. Not only in one place.
Today we celebrate those women and we also celebrate today's strong women. We celebrate our grandmothers, mothers, aunts, nieces, cousins, sisters, daughters, and granddaughters. Today we would like to remind you from our heart to yours, YOU CAN BE WHAT AND WHOMEVER YOU WANT TO BE.
You can be Wonder Woman! You ARE Wonder Woman!

Geoff Jones has been interviewed by Newsarama about what has happened in the pages of DC UNIVERSE: ZERO and when it came to ask about Wonder Woman, this is what happened.
NRAMA: And can you talk about the Wonder Woman pages and the introduction of these... what are we calling those? Not "Manazons" anymore are they?
GJ: [laughs] That's up to Gail [Simone]. It's whatever Gail's going to do. All the Wonder Woman adventures are totally in Gail's court.
NRAMA: So we should talk to Gail about these villains who are working together here? Digging in the places of death?
GJ: Yeah. That's something that Gail would have to talk about. I wouldn’t want to overstep onto her territory there.

NADA DE NADA
Okay. Han habido semanas bajas de buenos cómics pero esta es definitivamente la peor del año. Es oficial, no hay un sólo cómic que valga la pena esta semana. Asi que disfruten a su familia, sus amores y amigos. La próxima semana tendremos la primera parte de una historia épica con La Mujer Maravilla #20. Pero no por eso dejaremos de informar sobre todo lo que es Marvila aqui.
Okay. There have been some weeks with very few good comics, but this one's definitely the worst one of the year. It's official, there's NO good comic book for sale today. LA CRISIS FINAL #1
Dos grandes posters han sido develados. Uno con Linterna Verde que se ha visto en línea y el otro es este. Pinturas rupestres y sangre. Los símbolos de los héroes más grandes de la tierra.
¿Y por qué no dejo de pensar en el origen de la Mujer Maravilla? Eso o algo más.
Two great posters have been revealed about the FINAL CRISIS. One has Green Lantern on the cover and this is the next one. We see cave paintings and the emblems of Earth's greatest heroes.
Now why can't I stop thinking about Wonder Woman's origins? It's either that or something else.

LA TRINIDAD EN EL MET
La ciudad de Nueva York se ha puesto guapa y ahora por la exposición que se lleva a cabo en el Museo Metropolitano de Arte de la Ciudad de Nueva York. La exposición de superhéroes ha sido todo un éxito y les presentamos la estatua de la Trinidad que conora la presentación Superhéroes, Moda y Fantasia.
La estatua está basada en los diseños clásicos de José Luis García López, el genial argentino que por décadas nos entregó lo mejor de la DC Comics. Con más obras que nunca en todo los aspectos del cómic, es de disfrutar tan distinguida presentación. Además está el traje de la Mujer Maravilla usado por Lynda Carter en la serie de televisión. ¡No podía faltar! Además Lynda Carter estuvo en la gala de apertura y usó los brazaletes dorados de Marvila.
En verdad que los neoyorquinos se la han pasado de lujo estos últimos meses en lo que a superhéroes se refiere.

New York City is one of the luckiest places on Earth. Not only did they have the NYCC a weeks ago, but now the Metropolitan Museum of Art is happy to present the exhibition called Super-Heroes, Fashion and Fantasy.
With a gigantic statue of the Trinity based on Jose Luis Garcia Lopez's designs, the exhibit gives us the best from the world of comic books and it is a must. If you find yourself with some time to spare in NYC, then now you know where to go.

LA LIGA DE LA JUSTICIA

La Liga de la Justicia es un grupo de superhéroes de la DC Comics. En sus origenes dentro del libro "The Brave and the Bold #28" de 1960, la Liga contó con los siguientes superhéroes: Superman, Batman, la Mujer Maravilla, Flash, Linterna Verde, Aquaman y el Detective Marciano.
Cuando en los 50s DC Comics reintrodujo un gran número de superhéroes de la Edad de Oro la compañía le preguntó al escritor Gardner Fox reintroducir la Sociedad de la Justicia de Amérida. Fox, influenciado por su amor a la popular Liga Nacional de Béisbol y las Ligas Mayores, decidió cambiarle el nombre al grupo de Sociedad por Liga de la Justicia. La Liga de la Justicia de Amérida debutó en 1960 y rápidamente se convirtió en uno de los títulos de mayor venta para DC Comics. Fox escribió todas las historias de los 60s con el artista Mike Sekowsky trabajando los primeros cinco años juntos.
Como con la Sociedad de la Justicia, el concepto de la Liga de la Justicia es simple, incluir a todos los personajes populares de la DC en un libro, por eso la alineación original incluyó al Hombre de Acero, el Hombre Murciélago, el Rey de los Siete Mares, el Hombre Más Rápido del Mundo, Linterna Verde y a la Princesa Amazona.

First appearing in The Brave and the Bold #28 (1960), the League originally appeared with a line-up that included Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter.
Having successfully re-introduced a number of their Golden Age superhero characters (Flash, Green Lantern, etc.) during the late 1950s, DC Comics asked writer Gardner Fox to re-introduce the Justice Society of America. Fox, influenced by the popularity of the National Football League and Major League Baseball, decided to change the name of the team from Justice Society to Justice League. The Justice League of America debuted in The Brave and the Bold #28 (1960), and quickly became one of the company's best-selling titles. As with the Justice Society, the concept of the Justice League was simple: to include all of DC's most popular characters in one book (hence the original lineup included Superman, Batman, Aquaman, the Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman.

LA MUJER MARAVILLA vs. HULK
Okay, aunque muchos pervertidos saben que en el internet vuela un cómic de la Mujer Maravilla contra Hulk XXX, siempre ha existido la interrogante "¿Quién ganaría en una batalla entre la Mujer Maravilla y Hulk?".
Mientras que algunos dicen que el poder del lazo, el entrenamiento de las Amazonas, el poder de Hulk o la dulzura de Diana serían los importantes en la batalla, Gail Simone y Greg Pak, genio detrás de las últimas impresionantes historias de Hulk, resolvieron la pregunta este pasado fin de semana en la reunión de Dallas, Free Comic Book Day 2008.
Cuando Gail le preguntó a Greg quién ganaría, él respondió sin pensar: "Oh si, ella le romperia la *@#?1!".

"So I was in Dallas for Free Comic Book Day, and got to meet Greg Pak, the very talented and very sweet genius behind all the recent Hulk excitement. He was very nice, and my husband asked him, "I just want to ask...Wonder Woman could beat the Hulk, right?"
And he responded without a moment's hesitation..."Oh, yeah, she'd kick his a$$."
