LA MUJER MARAVILLA, LA PELICULA por NERITES
* LA MUJER MARAVILLA, LA PELÍCULA *
Bajo el sol del mediodía, vemos a una mujer de edad madura junto a su pequeña hija en una excavación arqueológica. Se ha hecho un gran descubrimiento y están enfrente a una tumba. La tumba es rica y presenta los huesos de una mujer vestida en oro con un hacha en sus manos. La arqueóloga está satisfecha pues esto provará sus teorías sobre la existencia de las Amazonas.
Levantando una punta de flecha contra el sol le explica a su hija que hubo un tiempo donde las mujeres eran tan fuertes como el hombre y por ello eran temidas. Y le comenta que ahora igual pasa, algunos hombres aún temen a las mujeres poderosas. En ese momento, dos aviones de alta tecnología sobrepasan la excavación y seguimos hacia donde ellos están.
En cada uno de los aviones están dos de los mejores pilotos de la armada americana. Uno es un capitán joven. El típico joven americano que será un gran héroe. Rubio y de ojos azules con la piel tostada, él es el epítome de la grandeza americana. Ella es pelirroja y algo pasada de peso pero es su igual en el cielo. Ambos están probando dos aviones stealth y vuelan sobre el mar hacia el ocaso cuando reciben el mensaje de regresar a la base.
En ese momento en alguna playa lejana dos mujeres a caballo miran hacia el horizonte y una de ellas mientras acaricia a su yegua agitada dice "Estas profecias no van bien, madre. Una gran tormenta se acerca." A lo que la otra mujer, bellisima por sobremanera y aún asi menos que su hija, sólo muestra un rostro preocupado mirando a las nubes de la tormenta en la distancia.
Los aviones giran y se dirigen hacia la base cuando los pilotos se dan cuenta que antes de llegar a la base tendrán que sobrevolar sobre una enorme tormenta eléctrica. Los fuertes vientos, la lluvia y los truenos hacen que el piloto pierda control de la nave mientras su compañera logre llegar a salvo a la base.
Es de noche y hay una enorme luna. La noche permite ver a la más hermosa de las mujeres de su pueblo ver cómo en la negrura de las nubes de lluvia a lo lejos surge un fuego. No es un fuego que haya visto antes. Corriendo hacia la playa se dirige a donde el meteoro ha caído. Ahi descubre lo que no ha visto en su vida, pero sus hermanas y tías desearán nunca volver a ver. Un hombre.
Con los ojos vendados ha sido atendido a petición de la hermosa mujer quien es princesa de su pueblo. La reina preferiría que su hija se mantenga alejada de él pero quién sino Afrodita rige los corazones de la gente. Entre sueños y sus curaciones, las mujeres a cargo de su salud han descubierto los terrores que azotan al mundo más allá de sus orillas. Una cruenta guerra se desenvuelve sobre la tierra y cubre enormes distancias. Muchos son los países que sufren y la gente que muere. Hombres, mujeres y niños. Los horrores son terribles y pronto es posible que el mundo entero pierda ante semejante lobo hambriento.
Es asi como la reina recuerda a su hija el valor de su pueblo y su mision de mensajeras que paz que fueron enviadas a una isla hasta el momento que se necesitara de ellas. El mometo ha llegado y una de ellas será embajadora de paz y ha de dejar su nación. Un gran torneo se realiza y la ganadora no es más que su princesa. Diana es su nombre y ha sido elegida la mejor de todas las Amazonas.
Haciendo uso de su gran tecnología, Diana puede ayudar al hombre y devolverlo a su país. Al llegar a la base, el terror se esparce entre los militares y enfermeras y heridos. La base militar ha sido atacada y su gente está siendo aniquilada. No podiendo soportar esa situación, Diana se enfrenta a los terribles fuegos del enemigo, ciencia y magia han creado terribles demonios de metal y fuego y ella los somete con sus armas: espada, escudo, arco y flecha y lanza. Además, un gran lazo mágico de fuego y oro detiene a la bestia. El público la celebra y sin conocer su nombre la bautizan la Mujer Maravilla.
Durante días se dedica a pelear contra los monstruos y su fama crece. Y cuando el publico se entera de su tecnologia y hogar, los celos y los deseos y envidia crecen tambien. Los fuegos de un corazon malvado se avivan con cada acto de bondad que tenga. Los ojos del mal se ponen sobre el hogar de la Amazona. Y mientras ella se encuentra luchando contra los enemigos de la libertad, la maldad se cierne sobre su patria.
El día que la Mujer Maravilla y su amigo el piloto, Steve Trevor, se preparan para luchar la batalla final contra las fuerzas del mal, se entera que sobre su isla ha caído la maldad. El fuego arde sobre Isla Paraíso y su corazón se divide entre su deber de hija y su deber de Amazona. Pero en su corazón también recide la verdad y entonces sus palabras son "Mi madre y hermanas pueden ayudarse solas. Por ellas estoy aqui y es el necesitado desconocido quien necesita de mis manos."
Es en ese momento de fuego y tormenta, cuando las fuerzas del bien y del mal se enfrentan que la Princesa de las Amazonas ha de enfrentarse al mayor reto de su vida, la guerra. Y no es una simple batalla, sino la personificación de toda la maldad en la guerra, Ares, dios de la guerra sangrienta. Y es asi que reuniendo todo su poder, la Amazona se enfrenta al Dios. Y por la verdad y mediante la verdad ella triunfa al mismo tiempo que su hogar se mantiene fuerte contra la invasión y Steve Trevor logra también ayudar a salvar el día. Y no lo ha hecho solo, porque muchos hombres y más mujeres se han influenciado de la verdad de Mujer Maravilla y todos ellos han logrado el cambio.
Tiempo después en las costas junto a un atardecer, Diana y Steve se encuentran. Ahi juntos deciden el futuro de sus pasos y ella toma su mano mientras ambos sonrien. El sol se pone y en algún lugar necesitan de la Mujer Maravilla. Y Diana está lista para salvar el día nuevamente.

*WONDER WOMAN, THE MOVIE*
Under a burning midday sun, we see an aged woman next to her young daughter at an archaeological excavation site. There's been a great discovery and they both face a tomb. The tomb's rich and exposes the bones of a woman covered in gold with a battle axe in her hands. The archaeologist is thrilled because this finding will prove her theories that Amazons indeed existed.
Raising an arrowhead against the sun she explains to her daughter that there was a time when women were as strong as men and even feared. She says that then as now, some men still fear powerful women. At that moment, two high technology jets pass by over the excavation and we follow them.
Inside each airplane there is one pilot of the American army. One is a young captain. He's the typical young American destined to become a hero. Blond and blue-eyed with tanned skin, he is the epitome of American greatness. She is a redhead with some overweight, but in the air she's his equal. Both pilots are testing two stealth jets and fly over the sea towards the sunset when they receive the message to go back to their base.
Somewhere on a beach, two women on horses are looking at the horizon and one, the youngest one as her mare is uneasy, sooths her with her touch while she tells the other "These omens don't go well, mother. There's a great storm coming." And her mother, the most beautiful woman after her daughter just looks concerned to the black clouds in the sky.
The airplanes turn and face the base when they realize that before their arrival to the base, they will have to fly over a terrible storm. The strong winds, rain, and thunders make the blond pilot lose control of his jet as her friend tries to help him and is forced to return safe and sound to basecamp.
Night time and there's a gigantic moon. It's in that night that the most beautiful of all the women of her people can see how among the blackest clouds a great fire explodes in the sky. And this is no fire she has seen before. Running to the shore lines where the meteor has fallen, she discovers what she has never seen in her long lifetime and what her sisters and aunts would wish they never see. A man.
Blindfolded and taken care of by the beautiful woman who is also princess to her people, the queen would prefer that her daughter stayed away from him, but she knows that who but Aphrodite rules over the hearts of people. In dreams and during his awaken moments, the women in charge of his health learn the horrors that are tearing the world beyond their shores appart. A cruel war is taking place on Earth and is covering great distances. Many are the countries suffering and people are dying, men, women, and children. The horrors are too terrible and soon the world might lose its batter to the hungry war wolf.
This is how the queen retells her daughter about her people's valour and their mission of peace messengers and how once there were sent to this island until their time came. And that moment is now. There will be one peace messenger that must leave their nation. A great tournament is held and the winner is no other than the princess. Diana is her name and she has been chosen as the best one of all Amazons.
Making use of their great technology, Diana can help this man and return him to his homeland. When they reach basecamp, terror is unleashed among the military and their hospital, nurses, and patients. The military base is being attacked and its people is being annihilated. Unable to stand the situation, Diana faces the terrible enemy fires. Science and magic have created metal and fire demons and she will end them with sword, shield, bow & arrow, and spear. And also her greatest weapon, a golden lariat of gold and fire. And so she defeats the beast. Her audience celebrates her and unknown to them, they name her Wonder Woman.
In the following days she focuses on fighting monsters and ceasing hell. Her fame grows. And when the public is cheering her, they also learn about her origins, her advance technology and jealousy and envy start growing too. The fires of a dark heart grow stronger with every good deed of hers. The eyes of evil are upon the home of all the Amazons. And while she is fighting against the enemies of freedom, a powerful evil is clouding her homeland.
The day Wonder Woman and her pilot friend, Steve Trevor, prepare themselves to fight the final battle agains the forces of evil, she finds out that her island has been reached by the same terror she wants to end. Fire burns on Paradise Island and her heart is torn between her duties as daughter and her responsibilities as an Amazon. But in her heart she also knows truth and her words are "My mother and sisters can take care of themselves. I am here because of them and it is the nameless needed one that requires my hands now."
And in that moment of fire and storm, when the forces of good and evil clash against one another is also when the Princess of the Amazons must face her greatest challenge, war. And this is no simple war, but the personification of the monsters of war themselves, Ares, god of blood war. Thus, gathering all of her power, the Amazons faces a God. But it is through truth that she shall triumph as her homeland resists against the invasion and Steve Trevor also helps to save the day. But he hasn't done it alone for many men and more women have been influenced by Wonder Woman's truth and all together have managed to make a change.
Some time later on a beach, Diana and Steve meet during sunset. There together they decide their future and she holds his hand. Both smile. The sun is setting and somewhere someone calls for Wonder Woman's help. And Diana is ever ready to save the day.
