No puedo decirles cuán entusiasmada estuve cuando vi por primera vez esta imagen, cortesía de DC Comics. Aunque es sólo una imagen sin color - en Marvila le añadimos un poco - me entusiasma enormemente el libro. Nicola Scott, la artista, nos da evidencias que es posible crear páneles detallados y muy elaborados que pueden ser fantásticos. Esta página es sólo un ejemplo de sus habilidades como artista. Si están tan entusiasmados como yo sobre la miniserie de tres partes La Noche Más Oscura: La Mujer Maravilla escrita por Greg Rucka, entonces seguro les impresiona la imagen.

I can not even begin to tell you how excited I was when I first saw this image, courtesy of DC. While it is only one image without color, it is still enough to get me really excited about the upcoming book! Artist Nicola Scott proves that she can create detailed and elaborate panels that are absolutely fantastic! This page is a perfect showcase of her artistic capabilities! La Mujer Maravilla #38 ve lo que pasa cuando encierras a Diana de Temiscira a cambio de la vida de su madre. También vemos las lealtades de las Amazonas de Temiscira y Bana-Mighdall. Descubrimos que una hermana siempre es una hermana y cuando hay peligro la familia se mantiene unida. Entendemos por qué el Círculo mata a la Amazona y qué piensa Aquiles de todo esto.

¡Y más que nada descubrimos quién es el verdadero padre de Diana! Oh si, este es un gran número que responde algunas cosas y terminas con un ¿¡QUÉ!?

Si algo se sabe de Gail Simone es que le encanta provocar a la gente y entusiasmar a los lectores con la menos información posible. En el forum dedicado a Marvila de ComicBookResources, ella ha mencionado lo siguiente:

"La Mujer Maravilla #42 - Un muy amado artista. Un genial y loco villano olvidado. Y la destrucción de la Tierra." ¿Qué les parece? Definitivamente a la mujer le gusta jugar. Y es que tras muchos arcos largos, al parecer vendrán historias más cortas justo antes -de lo que esperamos sea- el cambio en numeración a La Mujer Maravilla #600. "Un muy amado artista", en esto muchos hemos visto el posible regreso de George Pérez a Marvila, lo que sería como ir al Paraíso. Pero la parte de "loco villano" y "la destrucción de la Tierra" son dos profecías no muy gratas, pero todo es de esperarse en las páginas de LA MUJER MARAVILLA.

So, after so many huge arcs, there'll be a small change right before - what we hope is - the renumbering to Wonder Woman #600. "A much beloved artist" - many people have thought of George Perez and it may be true. His return to Wonder Woman would be like spending some time on Paradise. But what about the rest, the "crazycool forgotten villain" and "the destruction of Earth" - two things that don't sound like good omens. But everything's possible in the pages of WONDER WOMAN!

"Regresé al lugar que solía llamar hogar para salvar a mi madre de él, Ares. Desde la tumba insulta, se glorifica y envenena. Vine para evitar la destrucción de Temiscira, tal vez es muy tarde. En lugar de eso, he sido desvestida, humillada y aprisionada. La noche cae sobre la princesa de Temiscira. Parece que he perdido todo lo que me era querido. Mi isla, mis armas, mi familia, mi posible pareja. ¿Mis hermanas?" - Diana

Así comienza la tercera parte de cuatro de EL ASESINO DE LA GUERRA en las páginas de la Mujer Maravilla. Así regresa Ártemis de las Bana-Mighdall a salvar a su princesa de una muerte segura. Así Diana le dice que de hacerlo su madre sería asesinada. Así le recuerdan a la princesa de las Amazonas que nunca debe dejarse matar. Es el comienzo, pero nunca el fin de Diana de Temiscira, de la Mujer Maravilla.

Este miércoles llega otra entrega más de la Mujer Maravilla y aunque la portada sea, a mi gusto, la peor en milenios, aparecen los Cuervos, cinco nuevos enemigos de Diana de Paraíso. Y eso no me lo puedo perder.
